Crystle suits up with some of New York's Bravest, specifically Engine Company 54/Ladder Company 41/Battalion 9 as she tapes a segment for the 2008 "Thank You For Serving" campaign. Hosted by the United War Veterans Council of New York City, this film short of messages are distributed to military bases and hospitals worldwide and posted at www.thankyoufs.org. |

Known as "The Pride Of Midtown," the members of the elite group of firefighters are interviewed by Crystle. They send messages of "thanks" to the men and women serving in the military.

Crystle pays her respects to the 15 members of Engine Company 54/Ladder Company 41/Battalion 9 who lost their lives during the September 11th events in New York City.

With active-duty and retired military personnel surrounding her, Crystle is filmed in front of the Times Square Recruiting Center in the heart of Broadway, and invites the public to join her in taping a message of "thank you" to military members for their service. |

It has become an iconic image of the 20th century - a photograph that went around the world in 1945 of a sailor's reaction to the news that WWII was over. This sailor welcomes Crystle to the "Big Apple" at the same Time Square location over 60 years later. |
