What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Agreeing to pull weeds in my grandpa’s shelterbelt for the summer. I thought it would be relatively easy work, so I volunteered to help. My assessment was wrong. Some of the weeds were at least four feet tall and their roots held on so tightly to the ground, that at times we had to use a four-wheeler to extract them. The insects were ravenous. When we finally reached the end, I was exhausted and dirty. Thinking I was done, I headed towards the truck dreaming of a warm bath. "No; wait!" my grandpa called, "That’s just one row." ...Ugh!

My ability to comprehend subject matter. I have always excelled in academics, and I use my gift for creative writing and expression to give voice and imagery to my film work.

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a State Titleholder) that makes you especially proud.
After being named class president from a pool of ten students at my high school, being elected Freshman Class President out of over 2,000 students at the University of Notre Dame makes me very proud. It was an honor to be elected by my peers to lead my class for the year.

What is the most important thing you want the judges to know about you?
As a pilot, my dad has had me in the air since the age of two. Working on my pilot's license has taught me skills to handle the most stressful situations and embrace the most peaceful moments. It has pushed me to trust my instincts, follow detailed instructions, conquer my fears, think on my feet, connect with people and relax my mind.
