What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
While thinking about ways to raise money for my sponsorship fee last fall, a crazy but great idea came to me. The only problem was that it involved more than 500 complete strangers. The crazy idea was to ask my fellow classmates to each contribute one dollar towards my sponsorship fee for the Miss Kentucky USA pageant. I then had to stand up in front of my entire Family Studies class and attempt to solicit money from more than 500 strangers. After the box was passed around the class, I only collected a measly $60! In the end, the only good thing that came from this embarrassing idea was that now when I walk around campus people ask me if I still need money... I honestly believe that one of my strongest talents is my ability to forge relationships with people from all walks of life. Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a State Titleholder) that makes you especially proud. Being elected Senior High School Class President was one of my greatest accomplishments. One of the many honors of being Class President was that I had the honor of speaking at graduation. List your hobbies and favorite activities. I want the judges to know that I am not your "typical" pageant girl. The Miss Kentucky USA pageant was my first pageant I have ever competed in. When I crown my successor in a year and all is said and done, I will still be the same person, only with better make-up and a higher self-esteem. |
