What are your strongest talents?
Talent can be defined as any natural ability or power; natural endowment. My talents include a very creative mind which has enabled me to excel in dance, design, cooking, writing and performing. Entertaining is a passion of mine. I love making new friends, enjoying old friends while always looking for the best in people. I am a very loyal and compassionate person, a good listener, and work to always have a sunny disposition!

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a State Titleholder) that makes you especially proud.
I am proud of the highly selective and competitive internships I have completed. Two of the internships required that I live in New York City for the summer after my sophomore year and again the summer after my junior year in college. I am proud that I was asked back to do a second summer internship a year later and also that I did so by myself, half-way across the country from my family. Those two summers were two of the most rewarding times in my life because I braved my fears, learned so much about myself and accomplished things that I never thought I would be capable of doing on my own at that age--including learning the NYC subway system. Having those invaluable experiences in New York, makes me realize the extent of my capabilities.

What is the most important thing you want the judges to know about you?
I would like the judges to know that they are now a part of what I consider one of the most exciting experiences of my life. Having never competed in a pageant before Miss Kansas USA, I’m taking to Miss USA the same strategy I had for my state pageant. I am self confident, know my convictions and will have fun! This is basically the same philosophy I use to approach life. It is a tested and historically successful approach for me. I feel that I possess many of the qualities desirable in a modern woman and share many of the same aspirations that today’s women have. I would like to visit all fifty states to promote and educate young women about the significance and opportunities that Miss USA can create. Above all, I would embrace the opportunity to be a positive role model in society and to represent my country at the Miss Universe Pageant in Vietnam. I would work to go above and beyond the necessary obligations to fulfill the responsibilities of being Miss USA.
