What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
When I was invited to host the Pangaea World Festival in Aventura FL, I was given several intervals where I could walk around and browse through the different booths. In one of the booths, I saw a man holding a giant python and taking photos with it. I immediately thought to myself “Oh that would be a great photo if I had it wrapped around me!!” So without thinking about what I was getting myself into, I walked right up to the man and asked him to put it on me. Well, as soon as I felt the snake wrapping itself around my neck, I realized what I had actually done. I think the snake could sense that I was nervous because it coiled its head around me and was staring at me dead in the eye!! I kept telling myself “do not make eye contact, do not make eye contact!!” I composed myself as best I could, finished my photo op, and detangled myself from the slithery mess.

Are you currently employed? If so, what is your current occupation?

What are your strongest talents?
I’m pretty handy with cars! I can change a flat tire and jump start my engine! My dad always made sure I could handle myself if I ever had car troubles.

Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a State Titleholder) that makes you especially proud.
Definitely leaving home (Connecticut) to go to college in Florida. I came to college knowing no one and was forced to be completely self reliant. It was a huge accomplishment for me because I have such a close relationship with my family and being far away from them was very difficult to get used to. However, despite the distance I still managed to maintain my relationship with my family and make a great life for myself on my own.

What is the most important thing you want the judges to know about you?
I truly feel that true beauty comes from within. A year and a half ago, I NEVER thought I would be competing in any pageant, let alone compete in Miss USA. My accomplishment of going from Miss Volusia County USA to Miss Florida USA was and still is a complete shock to me!!! I didn't work all my life for this particular moment, but for some reason it was meant for me this year. I'm looking at my current situation as a blessing and a lifetime experience and I'm going to give and take as much as I can from it all. As far as Miss USA goes, would I like to win? YES! Would I be crushed if I don't? No, because everything I have gained so far is something I will carry on forever. The right girl will be crowned and I'm going to do my absolute best with what I have at hand.
