Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to being a State Titleholder) that makes you especially proud. I am especially proud of my past title of Miss World Eskimo-Indian Olympics 2001. It is such an honor and accomplishment to have a title that allows me to speak up for my Alaska Native heritage and show others the pride that I have in who I am and my culture. It provided me the opportunity and forum to speak to fellow Native students about the importance of learning their Native language and be a keynote speaker for Women Against Violence and Suicide Prevention, which affects many Native people. I spoke from personal experience on all of these issues, which allowed for me to connect with my audience and show them that they can also make positive changes in their lives and the lives of their families.
